How big a server do you need?
Kenlode Sales mostly stores text and serves pages; the AI work runs at your AI provider. So a modest server covers most teams. Enter your numbers for a recommendation with room to spare.
Recommended server
2vCPU
4GB RAM
40GB SSD
- Data added per year
- 225 MB
- Data after the years you plan for
- 675 MB
- Space for nightly backups
- 2.3 GB
Linux with Docker, for example Ubuntu 24.04 LTS. Ports 80 and 443 open for HTTPS. Keep a copy of the backups off the server as well.
How we size it
- The smallest server we support is 2 vCPU, 4 GB of memory and 40 GB of disk. An idle install uses about 160 MB of memory; the rest is headroom for the operating system, backups, updates and busy mornings.
- Data grows with meeting transcripts: about 80 KB for a one-hour transcript and the records drawn from it. Kenlode stores text, not recordings.
- Disk covers the operating system, two app versions during an update, the database, and every nightly backup you keep, and stays under 70% full.
- AI usage is billed by your AI provider and doesn't depend on the server. Prefer we host it? See managed hosting.
